The Show

AFter a tering day in Milano the students found the energy to give some very nive performances. Britt was singing in Italian, Dutch and Italian students learned each other's Language and performed a little play, a new ukelele was found and all the students danced together!

Theatre, Food and Fuel

Today was our first day at the school itself. A very rainy day, so a good day to work hard. The students rehearsed (and invented a part of their own roles) their version of the Court scene of the Merchant of Venice. (Is this England ? No Italy!) (Our first meeting in the Assembly Hall of the School) (Brainstorm session) We haven't forgotten our Sustainability theme either: We visited a school where children who need extra help are educated as cooks. TheY prepared and served a lunch for us in a very professional way. meanwhile our students learned a lot about the typical Italian food from the region we are visiting : Salami, Risotto, Tiramisù...delicious! (Explanation from the cook makes you want to taste even more !) (Whine is just a normal part of a well prepared lunch.. we absolutely had to try a zip, of course not from plastic but from real glasses) (grouppicture with the cooks ) In the afternoon we visited the Biofuel plant in Tortona. Especially interesting to see everybody working in laboratories while an invasion of sixty students took place...Unfortunately I could not make pictures there. Tonight everybody has dinner with the hosting families, who already spoiled the Dutch kids with lots of good food. The first evening we had dinner together in a Pizzeria in Salice:

EEP Voghera has started

This morning we finally left for Voghera. We will keep you informed about our adventures from this blog. We started off very good,the journey was never as quick and smooth as this time, the view of the alps from the plane fantastic and the weather in Voghera is at least 8 degrees better than at home. Most students know each other already so everybody was happy to see each other again. This evening we will start with a pizza together in Salice, tomorrow the families will show the Dutch students around. The pictures below show some reunited and some new couples. EEP Voghera 2013 can start !
